Iron is hard to come by in the North American diet – levels are especially low in school-age girls.7 Lack of iron leads to more fatigue and apathy, putting heads on desks faster than a 1960s filmstrip.
- Pump up your kid’s iron intake with fruits and vegetables, nuts, dried beans, beef and poultry.
