After a good dinner, you may want to loosen the belt and relax a little bit – it’s been a long day, after all. Instead, lace up those sneakers and take a family walk.
Unlike more strenuous exercise, walking increases circulation to the brain and doesn’t divert too much oxygen and glucose to muscles.1Of course, increased oxygen means better brain fuel for your kids to tackle homework. It’s also a great way for your family to get away from home distractions and spend some quality time together.
